What we liked about xtb
XTB has a good pricing structure. Their fees are below average and they also offer CFD-Futures, which means they have no swap. Compared to other brokers the spread (expecially in most forex and index trading instruments) is really low.
What we disliked about xtb
XTB offers real stock trading but their prices are high. There are sometimes promotions where new traders receive some free trades but after they are used up, the fees are noticeable. Their account structure is quite unclear and needs an update.
BrokerCheck Review of xtb
XTB is one of the largest CFD & Forex brokers for a reason. XTB offers over 3000 tradable stocks and charges below-average fees for most stocks. XTB offers a large number of CFD’s on futures basis and stands out from many competitors. The swap fees are therefore very below average, which is perfect for medium or long-term trading styles. However, the cost of at least €8 for equity CFDs could still be improved. The offered software (Metatrader 4, xStation 5, Agenatrader and Mobile Apps) covers almost all wishes. Learning materials, analysis tools & webinars are also available free of charge. Smaller penalty point is a slightly confusing account type design. Statistics about the execution speed could be added to the website. In summary: XTB has advantages over much of the competition in terms of cost structure & assets offered. In a recent addition, XTB added real stocks trading on their XStation, which makes a great addition to trading stock-CFD’s.
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. 82% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this Broker.
